We have published our first paper from the project!  In Marzec et al, “Amino Acid Assisted Incorporation of Dye Molecules within Calcite Crystals” Angew Chem Int Ed (2018) 57, 8623 –8628, we have used experiment and modelling to understand how soluble additives can act together to control crystal growth.   You can see our paper at this link:
