Position
Co-investigator
Location
University of Sheffield

Dr Colin Freeman studied chemistry at UCL and completed his PhD at Bristol University in 2005 in "Simulations of Solid Solutions and Interfaces".  He has been a lecturer in materials simulation in the Materials Science and Engineering Department at the University of Sheffield since 2012.  His expertise is in atomic scale simulations using both classical and ab inito methods to study crystals, their defects and their interfaces with solutions and molecules.

Within this project Colin is leading theme 4 - Nucleant controlled crystallisation.  He is providing input to the interfaces between growing crystals, substrates and solutions and providing support on the development of forcefields.
