Dr Stephen Yeandel is working with Professor John Harding and Dr Colin Freeman in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Sheffield. His research involves the study of crystal nucleation and growth via simulation at the atomic scale.
Stephen obtained his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Bath in 2015 with his thesis entitled “Atomistic simulation of thermal transport in oxide nanomaterials”. He has also previously worked at Loughborough University (2016 – 2019) studying solid electrolyte materials for lithium ion batteries.
