Emma Armstrong

Position
PhD Student
Location
University of Sheffield

Emma was a PhD Student at the University of Sheffield, looking at the simulation of nucleation with the aim to aid predicting the favoured polymorph in calcium compounds.

Emma completed her integrated Master’s Degree in Theoretical Physics at the University of Sheffield and obtained an interest in computer simulation through a Summer project modelling the solvation of halogen bonded systems.  Her Master’s project involved modelling the melting transition of molecules attached to a surface and Emma’s aim was to use the simulation techniques obtained in her PhD research.
