Professor Matteo Salvalaglio

Position
Co-investigator
Location
University College London

Professor Matteo Salvalaglio’s research is focused on the application and development of molecular modelling methods for the investigation of technologically relevant processes in chemical and biochemical engineering.  His current interests revolve around the study of crystal nucleation and growth from multicomponent liquid phases, polymorphic transitions and functional materials assembly.

Matteo obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2011 at Politecnico di Milano (Italy). From 2012 to 2015 he has been a post-doctoral researcher at ETH Zurich (CH).  He has been a lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering at University College London since September 2015, where he leads the Molecular Modelling & Engineering group.
