Dr Stephanie Foster is a Research Fellow in Electron Microscopy of Crystallisation, working under the supervision of Professor Rik Drummond-Brydson. Her research involves studying crystallisation using advanced electron microscopy techniques such as FIB-SEM, TEM, cryo-TEM and liquid cell-TEM.

Stephanie completed her EPSRC iCASE PhD in 2022 with Professor Fiona Meldrum and industrial partner IMERYS Minerals, investigating bio-inspired approaches for producing functional composite crystals. She also completed a short post-doc with Professor Nik Kapur in collaboration with Syngenta, studying crystallisation using static microfluidics. Stephanie completed her Chemistry BSc and MChem at the University of Leeds, with an integrated industrial placement year at 3M.
